Old School Friday: Gospel/Spiritual/Praise/Inspirational Songss

We are back again for another episode of M-o-M's 'Old School Friday'. Steve Winwood's 1986 'Back In The High Life' was full of inspirational and spiritually-driven songs, including 'Higher Love' which featured my favorite female artist Chaka Khan. I have selected the title song from Winwood's '86 Grammy-winning album. Do Enjoy!

I think I heard this before it sort of sounds familiar but,I'm not sure. I like it.
I need to get back in the high life and quit moping about people and things that have come and gone. Time to move on.

You have a great weekend.

I love the "groove" and flow of this song...it lends itself to praise!

Hey Marcus! Thanks for the memories! I haven't heard this in a very long time! Back in the early 80's when I first got saved all I could find was contemporary christian music (black gospel was only playing swing low/slavery music and I was not feeling that!) and this was one of my favorite songs that was in regular rotation!
Blessings!

Hey Marcus,

You just don't know what that song means to me right now, some songs are just classic and this is one of them.

I absolutely love this song. This is the epitome of being safe in the arms of God. It's hard to find songs of inspiration like this these days. It reminds me that trouble doesn't last always...
