Again, this weeks 'Old School Friday' was pretty easy to get with. I had to go with Chaka Khan because she truly is my favorite female singer; her voice is just so captivating. The chosen song actually comes from a rare album that now has to be imported for nearly $200.00, but it is the best $200.00 you could spend to hear her earlier solo work.

18 Who Said What?:
I kind of like that. and I thought I listened to all the Chaka Khan joints there were. I liked a couple of her new joint that are out. My all time favorites are "Every woman" and "sweet thing". Good picks. Enjoy your weekend.
I sorta forgot about Chaka. I haven't heard this song before. I really like her Through the Fire song.
Guess, where I amd off to in a few hours? To see the Hulk. Are you as hyped as I am?
You go Marcus!! I love me some Chaka! I purposely DIDN'T post her because I knew she would be popular today and I tried to post folk I have not already used!
Awesome pick!
I LOVE HER!!! Chaka's voice is incredible.
Her voice is amazing, and I too almost picked her (smile)and this exact song
Happy OSF Marcus
I love Chaka! Nice Pick!
HEY - I got my pics of your t-shirts on my page
My moms used to play Chaka all the time and I loved every minute of it. Her voice is amazing. My joint is I'm Every Woman.
I don't think I've ever heard this song, but it doesn't matter...Chaka could sing the alphabet and I'd listen!
Good choice!
now she the truth
$200!! Man, wow...you are a fan for real! lol. I like Chaka, i really got into back when Kanye sampled "Through the Wire"-
WOW!!! Do we have something in common or what?! I posted Chaka, too! She is my all time favorite!

Chaka is the woman! What a funky beat! My sister has some her earlier albums. Hmmm...now I am going to see if she has the 200.000 dollar one!...lol (ebay here I come)
Nice one, it amazes me how a voice like that comes out of such a small woman.
That surely was a treat.
Happy O.S.F.
Have a great weekend.

I like her new album that's out and no one really talks about it either. She is amazing
Chaka is my fa-vou-rite!! I saw her in 'Mama, I want to sing' and she had a big massive house in London, she lives with her sister, and her sister's husband and children and her grand-children (Chakas).
Ah, Chaka. Of course. She was one of the women who gave me a theory: if you have a loud, powerful voice, you must have a massive, avalanche of hair to go along with it. Shes playing in Chicago during the taste, isnt she?
Also, id love for you to share your thoughts on my blog! http://shesontherag.blogspot.com
